Introduction: Treatment using radioactive iodine (RAI) is used in several thyroid diseases, including differentiated thyroid carcinoma (DTC). The most frequent adverse effects include acute gastrointestinal symptoms, sialadenitis, xerostomia, cervical pain, and cervical swelling.
